Job Description
The role is for an experienced Senior SAP OTC Architect to support large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives in Japan. The role requires strong expertise in SAP SD, enterprise solution design, and cross-functional SAP integration within global delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of SAP OTC solution strategy and support enterprise transformation initiatives designed for the Japan business landscape.
- Review and validate system design approaches to ensure consistency with organizational standards, operational processes, and project governance expectations.
- Oversee connectivity and data flow between SAP platforms and external business applications while supporting smooth end-to-end operations.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, implementation teams, and leadership groups to drive project execution across planning, development, testing, deployment, and stabilization stages.
- Support business continuity by ensuring solutions meet Japanese compliance standards, operational controls, and localization requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of professional SAP experience with strong involvement in SAP S/4HANA transformation and enterprise OTC programs.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP SD functionalities covering sales lifecycle management, pricing structures, invoicing, delivery processing, credit controls, and order fulfillment operations.
- Solid experience handling SAP interface and middleware solutions using technologies such as IDOC, EDI, API/OData, CPI/PI/PO, LSMW, SAP queries, and batch processing tools.
- Strong understanding of process coordination across multiple SAP modules including FICO, MM/LES, PP, along with integration exposure to external systems.
- Experience creating functional design documentation, supporting development coordination with ABAP teams, and participating in validation and enhancement activities.
- Previous involvement in international SAP rollout projects and consulting-driven environments, preferably supporting Japanese manufacturing or enterprise operations.
- Japanese skills: JLPT N1 or above
