Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and administration of SAP Solution Manager 7.2.
• Manage Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) functions: including ChaRM (Change Request Management), ITSM (IT Service Management), Test Suite, and Business Process Monitoring.
• Configure and optimize Technical Monitoring, System Monitoring, EarlyWatch Alerts, and Root Cause Analysis within SolMan.
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP and infrastructure teams for system upgrades, patch management, and change control using ChaRM.
• Support end-users and stakeholders by resolving SolMan-related issues, preparing training material, and conducting workshops.
• Establish documentation and governance procedures for incident, problem, and change management aligned with ITIL best practices.
• Integrate SolMan with external ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP best practices, roadmaps, and emerging SolMan functionalities.
• Provide performance analysis and reporting through dashboards and KPI tracking tools.
• Assist with audits and compliance-related reporting using Solution Manager.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) including version 7.2.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in ChaRM, ITSM, Test Suite, BPMon, Technical Monitoring, and System Recommendations.
• Proficient in SAP Basis administration, ABAP debugging, and system architecture understanding.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA environments and hybrid SAP landscapes (on-premise + cloud).
• Experience with SAP security, user roles, and authorizations in SolMan.
• Exposure to Agile project environments and collaboration tools like Confluence, Slack, or Teams.
• Working knowledge of Japanese business etiquette and culture is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP certifications in Solution Manager or related modules are a plus.
• Proficiency in English is required; Japanese language skills (JLPT N2 or above) are preferred.
